The José Tribolet Award, powered by Deloitte, was established in 2024 by the Pedagogical Council to recognize and promote the development, implementation, and use of new technologies, tools, and digital methodologies in engineering education in Portugal, particularly at Instituto Superior Técnico.

The first edition of the award will take place in 2025 and will annually honor the faculty member/researcher or team of faculty members / researchers at Técnico who have excelled in utilizing and/or developing innovative digital solutions and implementing them in education.

Applications for the 2024 José Tribolet Award, powered by Deloitte were open from April 1 to April 30, 2025. The winner of the first edition of the award was Professor Daniel Gonçalves, of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
